Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market, which repeals Directive 1999/93/CE requires Certification Service Providers issuing qualified certificates to make a permanent guardianship and management of electronic certificates issued. The details of this effort should be collected in the so-called Certification Practice Statement (CPS), which specifies the conditions for the application, issuance, use, suspension and termination of the validity of digital certificates.
